Therapy for teens
Hi, I’m Emma and I have been working as an Occupational Therapist in the field of youth mental
health for over five years now. I am passionate about finding creative ways to support young people
with their mental health, which has led me to pursue training in yoga, mindfulness and sensorimotor
art therapy for trauma. I use a blended approach of the above in my work, and sessions are tailored
to the individual I am working with. I use a trauma-informed, neuroaffirmative lens in my practice,
and aim to empower young people to better understand and accept themselves and their
experience of the world.
Services Offered:
- Initial consultation to identify goals and areas of need
- Sensory consultation, to explore sensory processing differences and how these may be
impacting day-to-day life. A report with recommendations can also be provided upon
request.
- Recovery Through Activity programme- supporting young people to re-engage with
meaningful activities that improve their overall wellbeing
- Zones of Regulation programme- supporting young people to understand and express their
emotions, and to develop tools that support them with emotional regulation
- Anxiety management support- through a blended approach of body-based strategies (yoga,
mindfulness, breathwork, guided drawing)
- Organisation Skills and support with time management- for young people with ADHD, autism
or those that would benefit from additional support with
